We were fascinated to see, under the heading Lifestyle
a section about bookshops. Indians, we are told, are the world's most voracious readers, and there are hundreds of bookshops and bookstalls. How lovely. As well as a lifestyle section there are entries under architecture, places of worship, nature (not much), and places of historical and cultural interest.
Although much of Delhi was planned by British architect Edwin Lutyens in the 20th century, it overlays the site of seven ancient cities and thus includes many historic monuments like the Jantar Mantar and Humayuns Tomb. Join us as we visit these and other great landmarks and attractions in Indias capital city, from India Gate to Chandni Chowk Stunning photographs ensure that this book is a good reference to the citys culture and heritage.
